Taneshia Nash Laird Launches 3P: Pro Players Property, Drawing National and Regional Coverage

Industry partners, including SRS Real Estate Partners, lent early validation, and retired NFL linebacker Dekoda Watson was among the first athletes drawn to the program

BOSTON, MA — September 2025 — Taneshia Nash Laird, Executive Director of Project REAP, launched 3P: Pro Players Property, a first-of-its-kind initiative preparing current and former NBA, NFL, and WNBA athletes for careers as commercial real estate investors, developers, and decision-makers. The launch drew coverage across the trade and regional press, including Emerge Real Estate, the Boston Business Journal, and the Bay State Banner — early recognition from the industry's national CRE press as well as Boston's leading business and cultural outlets.

Built on the proven model of Project REAP's three-decade Academy, 3P is tailored to the wealth-building and career-transition needs of professional athletes — many of whom earn significant income over a short window and are asked to invest in real estate without the knowledge to evaluate those decisions. The program pairs hands-on mentorship from industry leaders with rigorous training in real estate development, finance, and ownership, delivered through three two-week intensive sessions timed around athletes' competitive schedules. Its first cohort is slated for 2026.

"Our goal is to equip athletes with the tools and relationships to build legacy wealth," Nash Laird said of the initiative.

The initiative reflects a through-line in Nash Laird's career — long-standing relationships with professional athletes navigating life and business beyond sport. The 3P steering committee includes figures who embody that crossover, among them Steve Jordan, the retired NFL Pro Bowler turned construction-management and commercial real estate executive, and George Lynch, the retired NBA player now in business development and capital management. Industry partners including SRS Real Estate Partners lent early validation, and retired NFL linebacker Dekoda Watson was among the first athletes drawn to the program.

3P extends Project REAP's mission — widening access to an industry with historically high barriers to entry — to a new constituency, and is part of Nash Laird's broader work building durable pathways across capital, culture, and community.
