Taneshia Nash Laird Supports Leadership at Jack and Jill Eastern Region Mothers Conference in Charleston

Charleston, South Carolina — Cultural strategist and civic leader Taneshia Nash Laird participated in the 34th Biennial Eastern Region Mothers Conference of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., held in Charleston, South Carolina. Themed “Rooted in Resilience,” the conference gathered mothers from across the region for a transformative celebration of unity, excellence, and community impact.

Nash Laird fulfilled her Leadership Assistant duties as part of the Protocol Committee for the Eastern Regional Executive Board. In this role, she helped ensure the seamless execution of high-profile activities while contributing to the strong tradition of structured, intentional leadership within Jack and Jill’s nationally respected network of mothers.

A Celebration of Legacy and Leadership

Hosted by the Eastern Region of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., the conference featured a moving Charleston Black History Tour, a dynamic awards ceremony, and regional board elections for the 2025–2027 term. Mothers from across the region described the conference as a powerful and affirming experience, highlighting the strength and resilience of Black families and communities.

A significant moment for Nash Laird was attending the private celebration and visit to the International African American Museum alongside her 92-year-old father, who joined her in Charleston. The experience underscored the conference’s deep intergenerational impact and connection to heritage.
